Does this happen to anybody else?

Seriously, this happens to me EVERY DAY. And actually, this is probably the LEAST amount of spilling I’ve had in the past 3 weeks. Sometimes during my morning bus ride, in the rare moments when I’m NOT trying to wipe off another drop of coffee before a stain sets in to my jacket, I just stare at the normal people who sit there and make drinking out of the stupid plastic lids look easy. HOW DO THEY DO IT?
I mean, I know I’m clumsy and totally deficient in most basic life skills, but this is ridiculous. Can somebody let me in on the secret? What am I doing wrong?
::sigh::
Thank you in advance. Maybe I can learn how to properly drink out of a cup before I turn 29. On Wednesday.
Welcome to the adventures of Aubrey and Michael. We plan on using this blog to keep our family and friends back in California amidst on our new adventure here in Seattle Washington!

My response – I always do that
Chris’s response – She is grabbing it too high towards the top.
Apparently you have to be over 30 to know how to drink coffee out of a cup with a plastic lid.
Sorry I missed you. I was so exhausted and felt so bad that I couldn’t get the energy up to drive, but let us definitely meet up the next time you are out.

i have an idea! put on your list for christmas that you want a nice, tall portable coffee thermo. then, every morning when you go to bustle you tell them to fill er up. not only will you be saving the world with one less plastic cup, but you’ll also be saving your jeans and your sanity.
